I despise buying groceries. No matter how hard I try, I always manage to shop when I'm hungry. Sometimes, this ends in spontaneous purchases that I had no intention of buying. I've also learned not to take my children with me to the grocery store, because this also ends in more spontaneous purchases. Usually, I go to the store right after I drop the boys off at school, which is around 8AM. Needless to say, I am not a morning person. One app on my phone that I cannot stop raving about to everyone that I meet is the ibotta app. Usually at 8 o'clock in the morning I either forget my shopping list, or I forget my coupons. The ibotta app actually saves my shopping list for me whenever I "unlock" the rebates for the items that I am going to buy. To unlock rebates is super easy and consists of answering a short poll or learning about the product.
There are many different stores on the ibotta app and most of the stores have up to $100 in rebates available. If you shop at Just Save or Lowes Foods like myself, then you do not even have to upload a receipt after your purchase. Just link your store rewards card and your purchases will automatically be credited. It takes about a day for the rebates to post to your account. But the awesome thing that I love about ibotta, as opposed to other shopping rewards apps, is the fact that you can cash out to Paypal with a minimum of $5. When Shane and I went to Chili's to eat the other night I was delighted to see that Chili's had rebates on ibotta as well.
I love saving my ideas for saving money and the ibotta app is at the top of my list! Click here to check out the app or email this post to yourself and read it later from your phone.
